Testing Ignition Coils

1. I took CIC32R and CIC31 ignition coils.
2. Coil Specifications

Coil CIC32R CIC31
Voltage 12V 12V
Primary
3.0 to 4.0R
Secondary
7 to 8KR

3. Check the meter error and deduct that value off your final reading.
4. Obtain a multimeter.
5. Turn the meter rotary switch to the 200 ohm position. touch the positive and negative leads together and note your default error.
The resistance of multimeter is 0.2R
6. Carry out tests and record your findings

Both two coils are serviceable.

Wasted Spark Coil Pack
In wasted spark coil pack, the primary and secondary coils are not connected, and primary coil of cylinder 1,4 and cylinder 2,3 shared one terminals.
